- Why are activities important to seniors? Activities are important to seniors to help maintain and to improve their quality of life and to have an impact on their overall health and wellness.
- What is your number one tip for keeping seniors active and happy? I would have to say my number one tip is to treat seniors the way you would want to be treated: with respect and dignity. Be authentic, smile, and let them know what they contribute is important.
- What do you enjoy most about your work? I enjoy seeing a resident come out of their shell through the groups and get involved with activities. It’s music to my ears is when someone says, “I made a new friend.” You get to see them find a sense of purpose.
